Hi,
I can't find the answer to my question. Apologies if it has been answered elsewhere. I commisioned an original painting and have since found that the artist has put a picture of it on her commercial website and facebook. Ethically this feels wrong to me - it's not a painting I want just anyone to be able to see - but is it wrong legally? Do I have the right to ask her to remove it? I would very much appreciate your reply. Thank you. |

| Copyright in a commissiond work will belong to the artist that created the work, unless there is an agreement to the contary. So it does sound like this is legal. |
