I have a manuscript of quotes, some in the public domain, some not, of songs, poems, quotes etc which I would like to self publish into a book and sell publicly, but all the profits going via a church to a registered charity. The quotes are no more than 8 lines long. Am I still in breach of copyright, will Elton John care? and how can I get around this within the law?
