I'm currently working on a large educational project and need some basic but good copyright advice.
Say a teacher watches and records Panorama and then plays it to his class the next day? Or some music?
Does copyright require fine-tooth-combing of each sources' small print, or is there a degree of leeway where this material is strictly for educational purposes?
Copyright law does provide a good deal of leeway for educations purposes, this is covered under 'fair dealing' rules.
Provided this is done as you describe - by a teacher, on behalf of the educational establishment for the purpose of instruction or examination there should be no problem.
